Updating of checklists and data-sheets of Natura 2000 areas

In accordance with the Habitats and Birds directives, the regular updating of SCI (Site of Community Importance) and SPA (Special Protected Areas) data-forms is mandatory for all the EU member states. However, many countries (such as Italy) are late and unfulfilling in their obligation. WWF Italy manages 72 Natura 2000 sites and it regularly updates the data-forms concerning all of them. Eliante supported this activity by providing a tutoring service to the data-form compilers active in several Italian regions.
